Fighting Fascism
A lot of people left of the far right have come forward to say some pretty words about fighting fascism. The most spineless and pathetic democrats will insist the way to do that is by saying “donald, no” and agreeing to more funding for ice, and some training or whatever.
Some that are in touch with the people are calling for the abolition of ice, which I support enough to give it’s own page.
A handful of democrats whipped together articles of impeachment against trump admins, but of course Chucky Schu wouldn’t let that slide. We have to wait until trump hits a -203% approval rating before we can take any action.
Some people are calling for the footsoldiers and those giving orders to be prosecuted for treason against our great country. From the DOGE college dropouts to the ICE highschool dropouts, all the way to Elon Musk, Kristi Noem, and trump, I want them all tried for their crimes.
That still isn’t enough for me. We need to look back at our previous presidential administrations. Every living president is a war criminal, and they should be tried for their crimes.
That still isn’t enough for me.
Ted Cruz has been going on TV my entire life to convince half the country to vote against their own interests as a champion of conservative ideology and blind MAGA loyalty. He bears an enormous responsibility for the sad state our country is in right now, and that first group of Democrats I described think “fighting authoritarianism” means reaching across the aisle and shaking hands with Theodore and his ilk.
Whether or not I win this election. If I ever see that slimy scumbag and the other republican cronies who’ve hung around D.C. for decades like flies around prehistoric shit; I will not be shaking hands, I will be throwing hands.
My personal fantasy of congressional dueling aside, we also need more thorough prosecution of elected officials and state governments, and news organizations especially in the south and southeast. There are corrupt leaders and misinformation spreaders all over the country, but the beating heart of hatred in america lies there. The region not only refuses to have shame for their dark history, but they take great pride in it. Lynching isn’t a thing of the past, it’s a strong and ongoing tradition. These are the people who’s hatred inspired the nazis.
We cannot truly say we have defeated fascism until we have uprooted and exterminated hatred and inequality in America. Those who would rather do harm to someone than get to know them is not my countryman. I pray that these people are willing to be educated.
